We spent Oct & Nov '03 remodeling this new unit. Step onto the lanai for amazing ocean views (photo to left). Located on the first floor in the "lower tier" (closest to the water) of Hale Kamaole, #162 sleeps four guests (2 adults & 2 children) and is close to tennis and both pools with one of the most private lanais on the property.
The living/dining area opens to the lanai at one end and the kitchen at the other. This creates a light, open feeling, making our 880 square feet feel very spacious. A large sliding glass door leads to the lanai and grass beyond.
Comfortable seating and good reading areas contribute to the relaxed feel.
Our kitchen was remodeled with the rest of the condo in Oct-Nov 2003 and now sports beautiful light maple cabinets, new appliances, counters, fixtures and that wonderful 16" light colored tile.
The queen sofa sleeper in the living room is new too as is the furniture through out the condo.
The entire place has been decorated in a tropical motif. But our touches are apparent.
The antique Chinese armoire graciously hides the TV and entertainment center. The desk is functional as well as beautiful.
Our bedroom is extremely spacious with lots of closet space and a king size bed, this is a favorite retreat.
Our bath is spacious and located near the bedroom, next to the laundry, behind the kitchen. It too was remodeled in 2003 and has a large vanity and tub with shower and extra towel bars.

Hale Kamaole Resort has a prime south Maui location near the Kihei Boat Ramp immediately across from Kamaole 3 Beach. Views of the ocean, sunset and often whales (Dec-Mar) can be had from everywhere in the complex. There is plenty for all ages to do here with tennis court, 2 swimming pools, 8 community grills and an on site concierge as well as friendly gatherings to watch the sunset or share stories at the grill.

Below - Views of Kamaole III beach park - from the left: 1. Looking south; 2. Smooth sand bottoms are usually found here. Good snorkeling too; 3. The park just a few steps above the beach has wonderful shade. Kite flying and sunset watching are favorite activities here.
